Ce am invatat cand mi-am decorat casa/ What I’ve learned decorating my home

Vezi lucrurile in ansamblu si the big picture.

I’ve recently finished decorating my house.

From this extremely pleasant experience for me, i would like to share some key points that anyone should follow. Of course, it is best or simpler to hire an interior design person, but where is the fun in that ?

  1. Look for inspiration before the prroject is started. There will be many thing that you Will like : this tiles for bathroom or this furniture, or this tube, etc. You need to have A pretty good ideea of the outcome that you desire, and see the big picture.
  2. Buy the decorations that you or your partner both like. You will be the ones living there go.So it is important that you are the ones attached to the new purchase. Trends come and o. You can’t alwais keep up. It is important to be at peace with the choices you’ve made.
  3. If for example, we have space for a 2.20m couch, it will be wiser to buy a 1.90m couch. The extra 20-30 cm make the room look bigger and brighter
  1. It’s not the end of the world if you cand find the perfect model or the perfect color on your piece of furniture. If you have a good understanding of the style you want, there will alwais be alternatives.
  1. It is better to start from a single object in decorating a room. For instance in my Bedroom I used a yellow pillow as a starting point. From that, I painted a wall dark grey and the Rest in a lighter grey. Nightstand are yellow and the rest of furniture white. It was much more easy to decide on the other objects by having a starting point in my design.
